Doctor enginyer industrial, la seva línia de recerca se centra en el comportaments de robots, amb l’objectiu de millorar la seva interacció amb les persones, en concret en la robòtica mèdica.
Pensa que la recerca en el camp de la robòtica mèdica “suposa un repte meravellós: treballar per a persones implica uns requeriments molt especials i estrictes i, alhora, l’impacte que la teva feina té sobre la societat és immediata i molt gratificant”. I és que, per a aquest jove investigador, el millor de dedicar-se a la recerca “són aquells moments en què crides eureka!, quan has trobat solució a un problema que no et deixava dormir”.
En la seva trajectòria en l'àmbit de la recerca, ha participat en l’estudi dels comportaments dels robots per a la seva interacció amb les persones i en el desenvolupament d’eines per a la navegació d'instruments quirúrgics, entre d'altres projectes.

The president of the GUNI Asia-Pacific network talked about the evolution of the higher education system in China and the main challenges it faces
Wei Yang, President of GUNI Asia-Pacific and of the Zhejiang University reflected on the main challenges facing China’s higher education system and institutions in the twenty-first century and the way they are trying to develop a harmonic approach to development. He stressed the importance of quality assurance due to the rapid growth of the Chinese educational system. He also explained some of the projects and strategies that are being deployed in order to overcome these challenges.
